Investing in the right fleet for our national network

We are continuing to invest in the fleet supporting our national freight network, with the introduction of 60 new Sitrak C9H 660 prime movers across our operations.

The new additions will support local operations and, primarily, our linehaul network, helping move freight efficiently between our depots and across long-distance routes.

Our fleet is a critical part of the DFE network. We invest in vehicles that meet the demands of our operations while giving our drivers the capability, reliability and confidence they need on the road.

The addition of the new Sitrak prime movers is another step in strengthening our fleet alongside our company-owned depots, linehaul operations, freight technology and dedicated teams.

33 years of Direct Freight Express

In 1993, Direct Freight Express began with just eight trucks and a simple belief: freight should be simple, efficient and handled with care.

Today, that vision has grown into a national express freight network, with strategically positioned depots and a dedicated team of more than 2,000 people supporting businesses across Australia.

Growth has never been the only measure of our journey. For 33 years, we have focused on building a freight network our customers can rely on, built around consistency, efficiency, service and trust.

Across our depots, linehaul operations, fleet, technology and customer service teams, we work together to deliver a consistent experience and treat every shipment with care.

Looking ahead, we are continuing to invest in our people, fleet, infrastructure and technology to strengthen our network and support Australian businesses as they grow.

New incoming Depot: Queensland

Once complete, the new depot will be one of the largest purpose-built freight facilities in the Logan region.

We are investing in the future of our Queensland operations with the development of a new purpose-built freight depot in Heritage Park, Queensland. The new facility has been designed around the way we move freight, providing greater capacity, improved operational efficiency and room to support continued growth across Queensland and our national network.

The new depot will feature:

• 60,334m2 main warehouse
• More than 50,000m2 of heavy-duty concrete hardstand
• Dedicated truck workshop, washdown and refuelling facilities
• Purpose-built driver facilities
• Parcel pick-up facilities
• Multiple operational offices and control-view tower
• 647 on-site car parks
• More than 12,000m2 of loading awnings providing all-weather protection

The scale and purpose-built design will support growing freight volumes while improving the flow, efficiency and reliability of our operations.

It represents a significant investment in our customers, our people and our national freight network, providing the infrastructure to support Australian businesses.
